Cheat Death Productions is a film and TV production company founded by Debi Yazbeck and Diana Richardson. We met at Stowe Story Labs, a prestigious writer’s lab based in Stowe, VT.  Over the course of several years, we have turned our love for writing into developing a production company so that character-driven, compelling and unique stories may come off the page and onto the screen.  

As one of its primary goals, Cheat Death offers a platform for emerging writers and filmmakers from historically marginalized groups, inclusive of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and membership in the LGBTQ+ community.  The two of us are committed to putting fresh faces both behind and in front of the camera.  The independent film world is exploding and now a primary avenue to showcase new filmmakers.  This rise in indie cinema, along with social media marketing, allows original voices to be heard.  And so we’re inspired to begin our journey and to collaborate with partners to create critical content for all audiences to enjoy.
